This is our 3D printed Apollo 11 Saturn V Rocket Lamp, printed with biodegradable PLA which is an organic, thermoplastic biopolymer produced from a mixture of corn starch and sugar. Therefore, it is not harmful to human health.
After hours of fine-tuning and re-design, we feel that the final result speaks for itself. All the effort was more than worth it and we hope you agree! No matter where in your home you place the Apollo 11 Saturn V Rocket Lamp, it is sure to fill the room with the same awesomeness it did when the Space Shuttle last launched on July 16, 1969.
On July 16, 1969, the Saturn V launched from the Kennedy Space Center (see image below, photo credit: NASA). The astronauts on board were Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins. A couple of days later, on the 20th, Armstrong and Aldrin separated from the CSM, where Collins remained. They used the eagle moonlander to descend to the surface of the moon. The exact moment of its landing occurred at 20:17:39 UTC, July 20, 1969. Neil Armstrong confirmed: "The Eagle has landed."
One small step for man, one giant leap for humanity.
